GRANDE OUVERTURE DU LAB-545 X SIGHT+SOUND

Du 11 au 13 juin, les Ateliers Belleville et Eastern Bloc présentent une fin de semaine de célébrations pour l’ouverture officielle du LAB-545 : un nouveau lieu de création indépendant à Montréal.

Trois jours de programmation déployée sur plusieurs étages : exposition collective, ateliers ouverts, visites, musique, rencontres et création en direct.
Trois soirs de performances présentées par le festival SIGHT+SOUND, une 14e édition par Eastern Bloc réunissant neuf duos d’artistes issu·es des scènes numériques, sonores et expérimentales.

Un moment rare où le public est invité à entrer au cœur des espaces de travail, des ateliers de fabrication et des univers
des artistes qui habitent le lieu.

LAB-545 GRAND OPENING X SIGHT+SOUND

From June 11 to 13, Ateliers Belleville and Eastern Bloc present a weekend of celebrations marking the official opening of LAB-545, a new independent creative hub in Montreal.

Three days of programming unfolding across multiple floors: collective exhibition, open studios, guided tours, music, encounters, and live creation.

Three nights of performances presented by SIGHT+SOUND, Eastern Bloc’s 14th edition of the festival, bringing together nine artist duos from experimental digital, sound, and audiovisual scenes.

A rare opportunity for the public to step inside the artists’ workspaces, production studios, and creative universes that inhabit the building.

Three nights of performances presented by SIGHT+SOUND, Eastern Bloc's 14th edition of the festival, bringing together nine artist duos from experimental digital, sound, and audiovisual scenes.

Musician and sculpture Kafé Betian comes from a lineage of Saamaka sculptors from western French Guiana and will present his traditional sculptural practice, "Tembé," an art form originating in his native Suriname and which he now practices in French Guiana. This talk is part of a series of talks by artists and designers presented by Bois Magique and is presented in collaboration with the SKOL Center for Contemporary Arts.
