I Trespass Through The Lens considers the potential of experimental cinema to link the parallel geopolitical histories of Palestine and Sudan. Developed in conjunction with Satellites! — a previous exhibition at Emporium Builder Supplies — this event is a screening of three works by Michael Snow. Snow, an artist and filmmaker working throughout the mid 20th century in Canada sought to use a medium's materiality to draw attention to the sensory experience of viewing art. This selection of his 16mm films also features a discussion with André Habib, professor and historian of art and film; writer and experimental filmmaker Clint Enns; and researcher Léa Jusseau.
