Pour son anne de programmation 2026-2027, articule a choisi comme thme DPROGRAMMATION . Aprs un dmnagement en pleine pandmie, des changements de personnel, des cas d'puisement professionnel et une incertitudefinancire, articule prvoit deprendre le temps de se rorganiser. Nous vous invitons transformer et adapter notre espace, essayer de nouvelles ides et redonner vie d'anciennes ides.

Prenant une pause de nos expositions de six semaines, nous recherchons des propositions qui ne s'inscrivent pas ncessairement dans le cadre d'un cube blanc, tellesque des interventions publiques, des projets artistiques en direct,des happenings, de nouvelles pratiques artistiques, des confrences publiques, des ateliers, des projections toutes sortes d'activits interdisciplinaires. Nous invitons les artistes, collectifs, institutions artistiques et conservateurs locaux, nationaux et internationaux soumettre des propositions qui rpondent ce thme de la manire qui leur semble la plus approprie.

DEPROGRAMMING
Call for Proposals Programming Year 2026-2027

For its 2026-2027 programming year, articule has chosenDEPROGRAMMING as its theme. Following a move in the middle of the pandemic, staff turnover, burnout, and financial uncertainty, articule is scheduling some time to recalibrate. We invite you to transformand adapt our space, to try out fresh ideas, and to make old ideas new again.

Taking a break from 6-week exhibitions, we are seeking proposals that may not fit neatly into a white cube, such as public interventions, live art projects, happenings, new artistic practices,public talks, workshops, screeningsany and all sort of undisciplinary activities. We invite local,national and international artists, collectives, art institutions and curators to submit proposals that respond to this theme in whatever way they see fit.

Vernissage: Aucun mur ne sera construit I
December 3rd (6pm) - CDEx

This year's cohort of the Master's in Visual Arts at UQAM, together with the CDEx Center for Dissemination and Experimentation, are holding two successive exhibitions: Aucun mur ne sera construit I and II. The first edition features work by Samuel Alie, Giliane April, Mathieu Bouchard, Lilou Crosson, Yassin De Hullessen, Ange Houtin, Thierry Lambert, Phalonne Pierre Louis, SUPER CLUB VIDEO, Yanick Tanguay et Johnatan Tremblay. These works were created as part of the course Atelier de création I taught by Professor Julie Trudel.

PART I: Arya Deva Suryanegara & Srayamurtikanti


I Putu Arya Deva Suryanegara est un compositeur et musicien originaire de Kerobokan, Bali, dont le travail explore des approches exprimentales ancres dans le gamelan balinais et les systmes de musique assiste par ordinateur. Arya se concentre sur l'lectroacoustique, la psychoacoustique, la spatialisation sonore et l'interaction humain-machine dans le contexte des performances multicanaux et des installations sonores robotiques.

Ni Nyoman Srayamurtikanti est une compositrice et musicienne originaire de Celuk, Sukawati, Gianyar, Bali.Sa pratique musicale explore des uvres exprimentales, thtrales et ractives au lieu, ancresdans les traditions du gamelan balinais. Sraya est directrice artistique de Sanggar S'mara Murti et CIRAT.

Dans le cadre du projet CIRAT, ils s'engagent dans des approches interdisciplinaires de la cration et de la performance musicales, impliquant l'utilisation de latechnologie, la manipulation de l'espace scnique et les pratiquesaudiovisuelles.


I Putu Arya Deva Suryanegara is a composer and musician from Kerobokan, Bali, whose work explores experimental approaches rooted in Balinese gamelan and computer music systems. Aryas creative focus includes electroacoustics, psychoacoustics, sound spatialization, and human-computer interaction in the context of multi-channel performance and robotic sound installations.

Ni Nyoman Srayamurtikanti is a composer and musician from Celuk, Sukawati, Gianyar, Bali. Her musical practice explores experimental, theatrical, and site-responsive works grounded in the traditions of Balinese gamelan. Sraya is the artistic directorof Sanggar Smara Murti and CIRAT.

Under the project CIRAT, theyengage in interdisciplinary approaches to music creation and performance, involving the use of technology, stage space manipulation, and audiovisual practices.


PART II: David Rosenboom


David Rosenboom est un compositeur, interprteet auteur post-genre dont le travail, depuis les annes 1960, couvre de multiples facettes : performances musicales, compositions aux formes spontanment volutives, collaborations interculturelles, multimdia interactif, nouvelles technologies instrumentales, recherche et philosophie en art-science,et art crbral. Il se produit rgulirement dans des salles internationales et a fait l'objet degrandes rtrospectives au Whitney Museum of American Art, au Centre Pompidou-Metz, au Tokyo Opera City et dans d'autres lieux. Il continue tre largement publi etenregistr et travaille actuellement sur son prochain livre, Propositional Music. Au cours de sa longue carrire, il a occup des postes importants SUNY Buffalo, Electric Circus (New York), York University (Toronto), Mills College,CalArts, parmi d'autres.

Rosenboom prsentera deux uvres :
Portable Gold and Philosophers Stones (Deviant Resonances), pour deux interprtes d'ondes crbrales et un interprte de l'lectronique informatique ; et
Future TravelExtracts, qui revisite les modles musicaux gnratifs propositionnels bass sur la morphogense rsonante.


David Rosenboom is a post-genre composer-performer-author whose work since the 1960shas traversed multifaceted musical performance, spontaneously evolving forms in composition, cross-cultural collaborations, interactivemulti-media, new instrument technologies, art-science research and philosophy, and brain art. He regularly presents in international venues and has had major retrospectives at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Centre Pompidou-Metz, Tokyo Opera City, and other places. He continues to be widely publishedand recorded and is working on his forthcoming book, Propositional Music. During his long career he has held important positions at SUNY Buffalo, Electric Circus (New York), York University (Toronto), Mills College, CalArts, and others.

Rosenboom will perform two works:
Portable Gold and Philosophers Stones (Deviant Resonances), fortwo brainwave performers and one computer-electronics performer; and
Future TravelExtracts, that revisits generative propositional musical models based on resonant morphogenesis.

Vernissage: Body-Subject/Le Corps Propre by Joe Espada
December 4th (5-7pm) - Vav Gallery

Body-Subject/Le Corps Propre explores the body as both a repository of personal history and a medium for expressing identity, connection, and emotional traces. The works investigate how the body, as a subject, carries desires and the remnants of lived experiences, revealing often-hidden aspects of selfhood. Each piece explores the tension between what is visible and what remains concealed, reflecting how the body both holds and communicates these intangible aspects of our inner lives.

Vernissage: Poiesis to Praxis

Curated by Maggie Rossy-Aulman, Poiesis to Praxis is an interdisciplinary exhibition exploring what happens when art moves from creation to action. Bringing together emerging artists from Montreal and beyond, the show investigates the dynamic relationship between aesthetics and social engagement: How does making become doing? When does reflection shift into embodied practice? Can artistic experience itself spark community impact?
