Pour notre Exposition de vitrine d'hiver, qui se tiendrade la mi-dcembre 2025 au dbutjanvier 2026, nous invitons les candidates, qu'il s'agisse d'artistes ou de collectifs, proposer des uvres autour du thme : INVERSE. Nous recherchons des propositions qui jouent et explorent les notions d'intrieur et d'extrieur, qui jouent avec le fait de rvler ce qui est habituellement cach et de dissimuler ce qui est normalement expos. De l'intrieur l'extrieur, du haut l'envers, le thme invite aux inversions et aux interventions qui remettent en question la manire dont les choses sont habituellementprsentes, redfinissent la relation entre des opposs supposs.

For our Winter Window Exhibition, mid-December 2025 to early January2026, we are inviting applicants,both individual artists and collectives, to propose works around the theme: INVERSE. We want proposals that play and explore notions ofinside and outside, that play with revealing what is usually hiddenand concealing what is normally on display. We want to see the inside out and the upside down, inversions and interventions that question how things are normally presented, that redefine the relationshipbetween supposed opposites.

Vernissage: City of Habits by Alexa Hawksworth

Vivid and turbulent, Hawksworth's cacophony of paintings charts an exhilarating collapse, where chaos and order are inseparably entwined.

Showcasing the artist's characteristic accelerated style and exceptional technique, City of Habits also features Hawksworth's recent experiments in manipulating letterform as a formal rather than communicative device. Overlapping forms draw from découpage, stamping, and printmaking, but, in their simultaneous acknowledgement and refusal of an imposed flatness and order, they turn Dada-esque, nonsensical, and disruptive. Here, typological conventions are pulled and stretched into illegible ends, exposing language as a fragile architecture—one that brilliantly unravels into gesture and noise.

Vernissage: Antecedent Conditions For A Landslide by Timothy Yanick Hunter

Presented in partnership with Cooper Cole, Antecedent Conditions For A Landslide draws on the structural relationships between land, body, and technology, considering how these entanglements shape migratory movement and the transfer of knowledge across time and space.

Taking inspiration from the writings of academics such as Édouard Glissant, Katherine McKittrick, and Clyde Woods, the exhibition reflects on notions of relation, geography, and collective memory as they inform diasporic experience. The exhibition will take place in two galleries in two different cities, with one iteration in Toronto and another in Montreal, a dual presentation that expands the project's conceptual scope by highlighting movement, circulation, and translation, all key concerns in Hunter's practice.

Rejoignez-nous le 13 novembre 18h en compagnie des artistes et praticiennes autochtones Brooke Rice, Autumn Godwin, Marnie Jacobs et Amanda Lickers pour une rencontre autour duplacekeeping. Par des gestes de rciprocit et de transmission de savoirs lis la terre, leur travail rsiste leffacement en honorant les cycles naturels et en assurant une continuit entre pass, prsent et futur. travers le tannage de peaux, le jardinage communautaire, la souverainet alimentaire et semencire, elles affirment que le lieu ne se dfinit pas seulement par lendroito lon se trouve, mais aussi par la mmoire, les relations et le soin quon lui porte.

Placekeeping practices extend beyond the preservation of physical spaces. They centre instead on unbroken tiesto territory that stretch out through living cultural transmission,Indigenous presence, and community relationships to land.

Join us on 13 November at 6pm with Indigenous artists and practitioners Brooke Rice, Autumn Godwin, Marnie Jacobs, and Amanda Lickers to engage with placekeeping. Rooted in acts of reciprocity and land-based knowledge teachings, their work resists erasure by honouring natural cycles and fostering continuity between past, present, and future. Through hide tanning, community gardening, food and seed sovereignty, they affirm that place is not only where we are, but how we remember, relate, and care.
