Montreal Cultural Calendar

In their first solo work, Alegría Gobeil allows themself to be traversed by a multiplicity of suicidal figures, shifting individual suffering into a surprisingly collective space. An embodied investigation that questions psychiatrization and explores the desire to die in its contradictions with life. This work is presented as part of OFFTA, a performing arts festival in Montreal committed to emerging avant-garde creation in the performing arts.
