Festival MURAL du 4 au 14 juin sur le boulevard Saint-Laurent, entre Laurier et Sherbrooke

Ateliers Belleville and Eastern Bloc are celebrating the opening of LAB-545: a new independent creative space in Montreal. This massive group exhibition, curated by Ariane Plante and Alexis Bellavance, highlights the diversity of members of Ateliers Belleville and invites the public into the heart of their workspaces. A selection of works is freely accessible on the first floor; to discover the other works, reserve a spot for one of the guided tours.

A Rope and a Wheel, A Dress and a Squeal opens with a loon calling out to a potential mate, or perhaps to the other species that appear in Molly Bertheaud's work; bird, cetacean, human and otherwise. Through painting, industrial knit tapestry and hand embroidery, Molly's work explores interspecific ways of imagining responsibility, desire, love and folly.

À cette occasion, les revues Espace, art actuel et Sabor seront églement des nôtres pour vous présenter leurs plus récent numéro ! L'exposition, qui se déroulera du 11 juin au 23 août 2026, s'accompagne d'une riche programmation d'événements en arts vivants avec une performance de Erin Hill et Nina Vroemen (Horizon Factory), en musique avec Mykalle Bielinski, ainsi qu'en poésie avec une résidence d'écriture de Vanessa Bell et de Catherine Cormier-Larose.

Scaffold is a collection that seeks to anchor itself through the rituals of everyday use. Developed through local fabrication, the series places material and formal honesty at the centre of each object. Restraint shapes the collection. Forms are derived from practical requirements, and production remains intentionally straightforward. The intention is to maintain clarity of purpose and to stay close to the scale of the body and its movements. Shown In-Situ this collection aims to gather friends, family, neighbours, and community in an informal familiar setting where life can unfold alongside it.
