Montreal Cultural Calendar

Aire de jeu is the collective exhibition of Samuel Alie, Zélie Delespierre and Gilliane April, graduate students in visual and media arts at UQAM. This exhibition is carried out as part of the Atelier II course facilitated by Professor Claire Savoie, at the CDEx Dissemination and Experimentation Centre.

VOX and VISIONS invite you to a special evening with the artists of the exhibition One's Own Eyes. Moving between the frames of Lovers' Wind (2024) and Chooka (2018), the trio unfolds a live reading and performance—following images as they oscillate across cycles of violence and war. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Parastoo Anoushahpour, Faraz Anoushahpour, and Ryan Ferko, moderated by Benjamin R. Taylor and Doriane Biot.

This edition of ECHOS is presented by NicheMTL, a Canadian nonprofit media platform dedicated to emerging practices in art, music, fashion, and culture in Montreal.

All proceeds from the event will go to the artists and to the development of Ateliers Belleville.

This workshop explores the relationship between scents, 3D digital creation, and memory. Participants are invited to interact with different smells and use creative writing as a springboard to "translate" these scents into 3D digital sculptures, either by digitizing clay models or by using the Nomad app on an iPad. These sculptures become archival manifestations of place and smell, whilst simultaneously testifying to the subjectivity and mutability of memory. The event is free, and you can register by emailing mediation@ada-x.org.

Racines créatives is a group exhibition bringing together seven artists and designers from the Afro-descendant community, spanning from Montreal to Martinique. The exhibition creates a dialogue between their creative expressions, offering a rich and multifaceted cultural portrait. Through a variety of mediums and themes, each participant contributes a unique vision, fostering a collective reflection on cultural identities and urban interactions.

BIRTH 5 is a 2 part program: a live a Crankie Box performance by Ava Berkson, followed by a 60 minute block of short animated films. BIRTH Screenings is a monthly communion of performance and animation, hosted at White Wall Studio and curated by Ori Peer.
